Summary: Your financial data is stored on your device. If cloud backup is on, your data is kept encrypted (encrypted-at-rest) on the server; the encryption key is stored separately from the database, so even if the database leaks your data cannot be read in plain text. We do not sell your data or track you for advertising.
1. Data collected and purpose
- Account (email): Only for account creation/sign-in. Your password is securely stored by Supabase Auth; we cannot see it.
- Financial data (expenses, loans, bills, salary, etc.): Stored on your device (local database); the app works without internet. If you enable cloud backup/sync, this data is sent to our servers encrypted (encrypted-at-rest) as ciphertext. The encryption key is kept separate from the database; even if the database leaks, your data cannot be read.
- Diagnostics/health data: A random device identifier (install_id), app version, platform and OS info, for crash and launch health. Not linked to your identity.
- Notification token: If notifications are on, your device push token and notification preferences.
- Purchases: Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store (managed with RevenueCat). WalleK does not see your payment/card information.
2. AI connection (optional)
You connect WalleK to an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT yourself. The connection always acts with your approval and you can remove it at any time. Data read over this connection is decrypted with your identity, solely to serve the assistant you connected.
3. Third parties
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising/marketing. The services we use are only for app functionality: Apple (App Store/IAP), RevenueCat (subscription management), Supabase (identity/encrypted backup infrastructure), Google/Apple (only if you choose social sign-in). Currency/inflation data is fetched via anonymous API calls (contains no personal data).
4. Tracking
We use no advertising or analytics tracking SDKs (we do not track under App Tracking Transparency).
5. Data retention and deletion
Your data is on your device; if you delete the app, local data is gone. To delete your account and cloud backup, use the relevant in-app option or contact support@wallek.app.
6. Children
4+; we do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes
If this policy is updated, it will be published on this page.
